A Heartbreaking Update
Remember the cheerleader who refused to cheer for her rapist? She was denied review of her Supreme Court case and her parents had to pay $45,000 to defend her. Read the entire article here.
You know, I've been in her situation before. I still don't know what the proper way to handle that situation is... Also not sure that personal experiences should be so compartmentalized and categorized in to "right" and "wrong" reactions. Why is a school deciding to kick her off the squad without offering her some other option? ANY other option that the polar ultimatum allowed? Bureaucracy pisses me off.
I'd be interested in reading the court's argument on the verdict.
